Novo Nordisk is embarking on building a new factory, in Clayton, NC. The plant will employ 700 new workers to produce active ingredients for an oral version of a medicine called semaglutide and a range of other diabetes drugs.
Novo Nordisk is currently seeking to attract top talent in the Research Triangle Park area. This once in a life-time career opportunity is ideal for manufacturing professionals who understand not only the operational complexities of manufacturing, but have the desire and drive to help us design and build. Candidates interested in taking this journey will be required to spend time in our API Production facilities (located in Denmark), as well as 3-6 months at a South Carolina location. There you will work with some of the best manufacturing professionals in the industry - learning and taking part in the plant design. Travel will not be a long term requirement but will be expected over the first year.
TITLE: BUSINESS FINANCE ANALYST - API
PURPOSE:
* Support DAPI-US project with establishment of standard NN financial processes (BSC, risk management, AB/RE, monthly reporting, etc.)
* Support continuous alignment between scope/schedule/cost/risk on project. Coordination between finance, Project SLT, Project Controls and other relevant stakeholders to ensure strong project communication and alignment on finance matters
* In collaboration with Project Controls, ensure that all project cost estimating, cost control comply with corporate capital governance requirements and internal procedures and guidelines
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Financial partnering to assigned areas
* Responsible for assigned budget
* Maintenance of BSC and follow-up
* Tasks in the area of business controlling and business analysis
* Meet or exceed customer, business, and regulatory requirements in accordance with Novo Nordisk Way
* Support to standard monthly project progress reports for senior leadership and project steering group
* Develop and maintain reports including: labor productivity, schedule status & forecast, cost financial analysis & forecasts, cash flows, cost/schedule variance performance reports, contingency/management reserve rundown/trends
* Support transparency and aligned priorities in project SLT on short/medium/long range according to budget
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
* Education: BS in Business and/or Finance or related discipline
* Experience: Min 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or process with a preference toward pharmaceutical or other regulated industries. 5+ years of Financial Analytical as well as Financial Accounting experience required
* 3+ years of SAP experience preferred
* Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge: Advanced knowledge within corporate finance systems, preferably within pharmaceutical industries
* Organization/Planning: Able to develop and manage action plans to achieve targets
