Job Description PURPOSE:
Provide support to the Financial Forecasting & Management function by leading projects and initiatives to improve quality, clarity, and consistency in financial forecasting, management reporting and planning processes.
The individual would also assist with the Balanced Scorecard creation and reporting process.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Associate Director, Financial Forecasting & Management and has close interactions with multiple stakeholders from various departments, including leadership team members at VP and SVP levels.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS
* Serves as a key resource to help assess internal forecasting and reporting processes and identifies opportunities to streamline, strengthen, and improve quality and clarity
* Ensures that data in Net Sales forecasting is structured to deliver relevant level of insights and transparency in an effective and efficient manner together with team leads
* Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends and best practices and applies this knowledge to challenge and improve processes and deliverables
* Leads the development of presentations, analytics, and other materials to summarize key issues, recommendations, and updates to effectively communicate with stakeholders
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
* Contributes to projects with innovative ideas and recommendations and drives others to think outside the box.
* Ensures project plans are developed and executed per agreed upon timelines with high quality
* Ensures project milestones are tracked, updated, and issues are identified, communicated and resolved timely.
* Challenges the status quo and has the ability to influence stakeholders and existing processes
* Assists in creation of the planning calendar
OTHER SUPPORT
* Provides ad hoc support to help team reach deliverables as necessary
* Proactively takes initiative to look for better ways to drive business results with a continuous improvement mindset
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, or similar required; MBA preferred
* 6+ years of experience required in consulting, project management, or finance, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
* Strong data/process flow, analytical, and PowerPoint skills required
* Proactive, high energy and driven to complete projects.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across stakeholders at senior levels
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to utilize time effectively; sets priorities in order to manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines.
* Knowledge of IMS data and pharmaceutical sales forecasting/reporting is a plus
